Capital of Texas" - The murals were
painted by Billy Ines and they are based on a few of the
15,000± Boomtown Breckenridge Photos taken by Basil
Clemons. You can see pictures of some of the murals
on the Chamber's
page devoted to them or you can experience them as you
stroll around downtown Breckenridge, Texas. Mural Maps (free) are
available at the Friends of Historic Breckenridge "Rest
Station" in the 100 Block of North Breckenridge Avenue just
behind First American Bank. You can see
some of the 18,000± (a few not of Breckenridge, Texas) photos taken by Basil Clemons at the
Swenson
Memorial Museum or the University of
Texas' Special Collections. |
